I live in Primorskiy Territory. It is a very nice place to live in. I was born here and love my region very much.

Primorye is situated in the south- eastern part of Russia. In the South and East it is washed by the waters of the Japan Sea and the Pacific Ocean. It's territory is about 165.9thousand square kilometres. Primorsky Krai also contains a lot of islands: Russian, Popov, Putyatina,Reyneke, Rikorda, Rimsky-Korsakov, Askold, Smith and others.Three-fourth of the territory is covered with the Sikhote-Alin mountain range.There are about 50 small and large rivers here.

Because of its geographical position my region often suffers different disasters. Natural disasters are catastrophic natural phenomena and processes, emerging as a rule, suddenly and causing a break of the everyday life of people.Natural disasters are floods, cyclones, typhoons, tornadoes,earthquakes,forest fires, volcanic eruptions, droughts, etc. Most of all my region suffers from floods, cyclones and earthquakes.
