English is becoming a global language. There are more than 410 million native speakers in the world. Geographically it is the most wide-spread language in the world. It is the official language of the UK, the USA, Australia, New zealand.It is one of the official languages in Canada, the Republic of South Africa, the Irish Republic.The number of second language speakers may soon exceed the number of native speakers. About one billion people study English as a foreign language.
